Acerca del libro
Coming back through India to complete their round trip, they gained insight into the lives of people halfway around the world and learned what makes us as humans so similar, yet so different all at once.
All profit from the sale of this book will go to the Northern California Tibetan Association Community Center project. After traveling through Tibet and volunteering at the Tibetan Refuge Center in Nepal, we wanted to find some way to connect this life-changing experience to our lives back home in Berkeley, CA. The Northern California Tibetan community is now 1500 strong and growing. Donations from this book will help to construct a community center for local Tibetans to share their culture and traditions with the next generation of those in exile. May a free community exist for all those who continue to journey and believe...Thank you for your support!

Acerca del creador
Charlotte Semmes and Sean McAlindin live in Berkeley, California. Charlotte is an artist/designer who loves to paint "big" and work with fabrics. Sean is a writer/teacher who enjoys putting together words and photographs that provide insight into the subtleties of life. They first met during their freshman year at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. When Sean left to study in Colorado, they didn't hear from each other until a chance meeting in Paris brought them together for a short, but poignant moment in time. Six years later they met again in Brooklyn, New York and watched the mist drift over Prospect Park from underneath a maple tree. Shortly thereafter Sean and Charlotte were on this spontaneous journey east to India, Nepal and Tibet, an unimaginable adventure of people and places that taught them what it means to be human in the world today.
