Our Dad sketched his childhood memories on a sketch pad. The images were sorted, printed and presented on his 80th birthday, with love from his family.

The illustrations artistically tell the story of a simpler time and a boy's intimate relationship with a world around him called the Bronx. Dad's attention to detail helps us revisit the objects, experiences and emotions of his happy youth. We hope you enjoy his journey.

I remember being able to view several of the pages and now don't see that option. I'm so impressed with this book that I shared it on Facebook saying you could click a link and peruse a few pages. I now see you can't or am I'm missing something?

What an innovative and incredible book this is.
I too remember many of the things illustrated and it brought a smile to my face.

Bravo! Well done!

Hi Stuart, I just ordered your book. Even though Willard's memories are of the American lifestyle much of it is very familiar to this Australian ex-Englishwoman. Well done for putting this book together for your Father whom you obviously love very much. My own Dad just turned 80 but he has Alzheimer's so his memory is nearly gone. Maybe this book might ignite a few sparks for him in those dark recesses? My Dad was (or should I say is?) an artist. He doesn't pick up a brush anymore but it's given me an idea to publish his artwork. I did a Blurb book for his 80th - scanning in over 250 images of his life - mostly b & w - and documenting every photo. This has been a great help to the staff in the nursing home - they can share the memories with him and I'm sure it has helped him settle better into his now unfamiliar surroundings. Thank you again, I will enjoy sitting with my Dad going through your book. My regards to Willard. Janice from Queensland Australia
