Jessie's Way is a series of short stories about Jessie, a little girl of the late forties, early fifties, growing up in Georgia during a turbulant and confusing time in our nation's history. The stories show us Jessie's struggles and questions, her understanding, compassion, and acceptance of things as they were and as they should be, as well as her vulnerability in an age of brutal rule and division.
Prose and poetry have appeared in the following and other magazines and literary journals. South Carolina Writers Workshop anthologies and newsletter, Rockford Review, Aiken County and Savannah Magazines, Timelapse, Anderie Press, WordSmith, Big Easy Sonnet, Writers Exchange, Poet’s Page, California Quarterly, Flights of Fancy, Poetic Page Opus, Potato Eyes, Green River Writers, PoetWorks Press, Poetry Motel. Publication of a chapbook The Wind Will Pass, which was a compilation of previously published prose and poetry.
