Vestiges of Darkness is a collection of short horror stories written during the author's college years. The Cuckoo Clock centers on Catherine, a college student in a relationship with a literature professor, who discovers with horror the true extent of her lover's fascination with antique furniture and clocks. In The Diabolic Machine, we meet Doug Sanders, whose curiosity leads him to discover the horrific side effects of his neighbor's newest invention. Within Silence and Darkness chronicles a photojournalist's last assignment.
Jonathan D. Stiffy graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, then continued to earn a Master's degree in Business Administration. He currently manages a plastics mechanical testing laboratory in Washington, PA and lives with his wife, Jessica, in Canonsburg, PA. His fiction work has been previously published on e-zines such as The Writer's Hood and the Homepage of the Dead. He is also the author of works of poetry and screenplays, but horror fiction has always been his favorite genre.
