Acerca del libro
A decade later, we have a career, maybe a house and a partner, and the next thing on the to-do list is to start a family. But to go from a woman whose life has been selfishly focused on attaining her professional dreams to a woman whose entire life plan has been usurped by a big blue cross on a pregnancy stick is something for which the school lessons and board meetings do not prepare us.
This diary is my attempt to let go of the person I've been and to embrace the person I am about to become. A mother. And hopefully a great one.

Acerca del creador
After graduating from Cambridge University, I dabbled with various career options that saw me lead tours in the Middle East and Africa, sell woolly socks to cold-footed Australians and ice coconut buns in a production bakery. But when I was called into the boss's office for not being generous enough with my coconut (yes, really), it was time to get serious. Having already sold some articles and travel features, I returned to university to complete an NCTJ-accredited PgDip in Newspaper Journalism. Since then, I have trained and worked with many newspapers and magazines as a journalist and sub-editor, including the Daily Mail, the Irish Daily Mail, the Aberdeen Press and Journal, the Press Association and Northern Woman magazine. As an in-house brand manager, I have produced promotional content and advertising material for Sea to Summit, Arc'Teryx, Black Diamond and Bridgedale. Now that I am mother to a beautiful babbling baby, I work on a freelance basis from my home in Belfast.
