A person is a person because of other people", a popular Zulu folk saying tells us.

Mrs Elizabeth Akosua Adobea Ntim, née Opong, popularly known as Mama Ntim, became a centenarian on July 17th, 2010.

Written to commemorate this very special occasion, her story is retold in a historical context, chronicling the diverse human connections that preceded and subsequently shaped the lives of Mama and her over one-hundred and fifty-five direct descendants.
