Acerca del creador
Dr. Jay H. Williams is a Professor of Exercise Science in the Department of Human Nutrition, Foods and Exercise at Virginia Tech. He received his degrees in Mathematics and Exercise Physiology from Louisiana State University and Texas A&M University. For more than 20 years, Dr. Williams has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in exercise physiology, kinesiology and muscle biochemistry. His research focuses on how muscles respond and adapt to activity, inactivity and disease. In addition, he has a long history of working with athletes ranging from kindergarten soccer players to Olympic track and field athletes. Dr. Williams operates the website, The Science of Soccer Online. This site is focused on translating cutting edge research into practical applications for the coach and player. It serves as a bridge between the laboratory research and performance on the pitch.
