"Garden Poetry" is a colorful and unique expression of fine art photography with an illustrative twist. Basing her work on digital photography technologies (camera and scan), Coleman re-renders each work using Photoshop and Sketchbook Pro to create compelling and illustrative images.
A delight to peruse, "Garden Poetry" is 80 pages with 43 richly colored images and the artist's own writings about concepts, process and what art means in the context of our lives. This 12 x 12" book makes a beautiful display on the coffee table at home or in the office, and would be a fitting gift for good friend or client...or to enjoy for yourself.
I am an artist now residing in Seattle, Washington, where I have become active in the art community. I am a member of and serve on the Board of Gallery 110, a Pioneer Square collective, and facilitate art workshops for patients as a volunteer at Harborview Medical Center (UW Medicine). Aside from working in my studio, I enjoy travel and immerse myself in art wherever I go. Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, I served as Chair of the Palo Alto Public Art Commission, was a partner at a fine art photo gallery in Half Moon Bay, and a member of South Bay Area Women's Caucus for Art, and of Gallery House.
