Charlie Chaplin disait que « ce n’est pas la réalité qui compte dans un film, mais ce que l’imagination peut en faire », et cette constatation est également valable pour l’art de Zoltán Vancsó. Ses travaux sont saisissants du fait que tout ce qu’il formule par l’intermédiaire de ses images, tout ce qu’il déploie à travers elles, n’est pas présenté comme la vérité absolue mais, bien au contraire, incite chacun à y rechercher sa propre réalité. TWINCITY

According to Chaplin, "reality does not matter in film, but rather what one's imagination makes of it" and this observation is perfectly applicable to Zoltan Vancso's photography. This is the reason why his art is enthralling. Everything he formulates in his photographs, all that he lays before us is not presented as unquestionable truth, but quite the opposite: he urges us to find our own reality in them. (Júlia Cserba)

Munkái éppen azért megragadóak, mert mindazt, amit képeiben megfogalmaz, amit elénk tár, nem megkérdőjelezhetetlen igazságként tünteti fel, hanem éppen ellenkezőleg, arra ösztönöz bennünket, hogy a magunk valóságát keressük bennük.
