Acerca del libro
AIGA Minnesota, the professional association for design, solicited posters from local designers that reflected some aspect of the 35W Bridge collapse. On November 8th, 2007, each one-of-a-kind poster was put on sale through silent auction during an exhibition of the work at Spill The Wine, located just blocks from the bridge collapse site. Now, for the first time, all 36 posters that were submitted to the project have been gathered together in one collection. All proceeds from the sale of this book benefit the Minnesota Helps—Bridge Disaster Fund™.
The Minnesota Helps—Bridge Disaster Fund is a collaboration of local fund raisers to facilitate contributions to disaster relief efforts. Christelle Langer, vice president of marketing and communications for The Minneapolis Foundation, said the poster project "has been a wonderful illustration of the way this community gathers together, and provides its resources—time, money and talent—to help each other in a time of need."
