Acerca del creador
At age six I began formal art lessons with Phillipa Faulkner. At the University of Waterloo, (Psych’87) I studied psychology, genetics, and anthropology. During my ten-year career in commercial aviation I piloted single- & multi-engine land and floatplanes acquiring nearly 6,000 hours of flight time. Spurred by my lifelong appreciation of indigenous cultures, I relocated to Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula (1993-96) to commence an ethnographic study of K’eckchi, Mopan, and Lacandon Maya. I return regularly to continue my photographic journal of their lifestyles. My articles and photographs have appeared online at National Geographic, in “The National Post”, “The Globe and Mail”, "The Toronto Star", Mundo Maya, The Doctor’s Review (print & on-line), Verge Magazine, Mexican National Tourism Board publications, WWF-Canada, and have been used for promtion by WWF-Canda & WWFCuba (CITMA), African Culture Safaris (Tanzania), Royal Expeditions (India), MEDICO, & Medecins sans Frontieres-Canada
