This 'traveleating' journal is based on the last posts of my food & travel blog World Foodie Guide, outlining two exciting weeks spent travelling and eating in Japan in November 2009.
The journey is chronological, apart from the days spent in Tokyo between various trips to the Japan Alps, Kyoto and Numazu.
This was my fifth trip to Japan and husband Garson Byer's second. We both felt that many more visits are needed in order to experience even just a small part of what Japan has to offer in terms of food, culture, history and hospitality. We're already looking forward to the next journey and the one after that...
All photos were taken with Leicas, mostly using my Leica D-Lux 4, with additional photography by Garson Byer (www.inalonelyplace.org), using his Leica M8.2 and M4.
Finally, 100% profit from the sale of each book will go to Beijing-based Crazy Bake (www.crazybake.com), a small organisation teaching mentally challenged patients to bake bread for sale, so that they can become more self sufficient.
