This is a collection of the artwork of Friedrich W. Kreft. He immigrated to Wisconsin from from Germany after World War I. He designed church interiors and was known for painting extraordinary religious murals. Friedrich worked in oils, pen and ink, and watercolor. He designed furniture, wallpaper, carpet, and light fixtures. His works also included scherenschnitte silhouette and sculpture. He frequently used his family and surroundings as themes for his artwork.
