Acerca del creador
Morgan Earl was raised on rivers, and has sailed on four oceans so it’s no wonder his principal creative focus on water employs his photographic and visual skills towards what he sums up as an impressionist /abstract approach to water. He spends much of his time in two worlds – the wilds of the North Muskoka river and Europe's south coasts. Not surprisingly, his style is informed by the both 19thcentury artistic risk takers, van Gogh and Cezanne and the Canadian Group of Seven led by Tom Thomson. These artists were unafraid to cross artistic boundaries to realize their new visions of our natural world. In short, rebels with a brush. With this same spirit, Morgan paints with his camera. His photo-based impressionist images are vibrant evidence of his discovery of water as an artists’ medium in its own right. He aptly calls it ‘Liquid Mirrors’.
