Acerca del libro
For the better part of the 2010 spring semester, these kids read, talked, wrote and thought about Courage. Working with their language arts teacher and a local photographer, they wrote about first-hand experiences calling for courage and what it meant to them.
The stories are varied and authentic and are beautifully illustrated with the kids’ own creative photography.
Through this project, the kids revealed their capacities for empathy, understanding, support and friendship -- in essence, they discovered themselves, their classmates and the shared experiences that bind them together.
At the end of May, the children will hold a public reading and book signing at a local book store. They are soooo excited not only at having their stories published but also at the opportunity to share them with other kids and their family and friends.
Courage: Stories About Standing Tall and Growing Strong is a smart and heart-warming book for all ages.
