Have you been to Las Vegas and never left the city? Shame on you. The next time you fly in get a car rental and at least drive 65 miles north east to the Valley of Fire.
Once your there you might as well head across the border into Utah and see Zion National Park, and just a little ways further Bryce Canyon to see the "hoodoos," (skinny totem pole like rock standing as tall as a five story building). Note: Bryce Canyon is 8300 feet up so you will notice a diff in breathing...probably not having a heart attack like someone thought who will remain nameless and goes by the Indian name "Two Feathers."
All of the pictures from "Rock" were taken within 300 yards of my car. Stay tuned for "Rock II - Below the Rim"
