Acerca del libro
Photo Constructed Book for Napier University.
HABITATION. HOME. PERSONAL DWELLING. ABODE
Defining Habitation
Initially, members of the group exploring the topic Habitation were confused and unaware of its meaning. More than anything, its relation to climate change. We didn’t necessarily put habitation and climate change together however through research and exploration we managed to gain a further understanding into these two topics.
Individual Interpretations
An on-line photo blog, seminars, research and discussions between the group members made a considerable difference to our individual interpretations. In the space and time of the second semester, each of us developed ideas and experimented with them.
With this time and experience, we later found ourselves comfortable enough to make decisions and changes regarding the relevance of our chosen topics to the subject of habitation and climate change.
Positive and Negative outcomes
Although our projects deal with different issues around habitation they do have a similarity throughout them.
The similarity between the images is that they all deal with personal space. In so many ways, the photographer has reflected on how this personal space can be used. These reflections represent ideas surrounding both negative and positive aspects of climate change. For example the effect that climate change has had on people and their space, and how it may affect their space in the future are just a few ways that these projects can be interpreted and separated.
