Acerca del libro
Senescence (growing old, aging), it happens to all of us and it also happens to places and things. As time goes by, nature reclaims it's elements from abandoned objects leaving new landscapes in its wake. The delicate wrinkles and curls as paint slides from a surface. The intricate patterns and lines created as metal rusts and corrodes. Even the strips created as rubber disintegrates resemble jagged mountains. The results are new shapes, forms, and configurations; a whole new experience with the same old things.

I have been taking photographs for as long as I can remember, from my Kodak Brownie, and Polaroid Swinger to my digital Nikon D200. Photography has provided me with a chance to see our world in a different way, to note the details and the wonders of nature, to take the time to appreciate a beautiful sunset and how the sunlight filters through the petals of a flower. To notice the texture of a rock and the jewels of pebbles on the beach. I have always been especially drawn to flowers and the amazing details in each blossom. While my “vocation” is as a financial software consultant, photography is my passion – it allows me to connect with what is really important.
