I am a writer and photographer based in Metro Detroit. I had the opportunity to live in wonderful places in Germany, France and Switzerland, and I did a lot of traveling in the last few years. Especially exciting were several extended stays in Japan.

Now I enjoy exploring the United States. Sometimes I revisit my favorite places in Europe. There is still so much to see - I don't even know my native Germany very well, I must admit. But in the warm season, I am only traveling within Michigan - it's simply the best place to be during summer.
