The Traumbilder project is about two forms of poetry: written and visual.
After several years of writing and photographing in isolation, enjoying each other's work, Tristan and Silke wondered if the two could be joined in marriage. The result is this book: a study in dreamscapes of photography and poetry.
Silke
... fell in love with photography when she got her first camera - a gift when she was about nine years old. Her early education is self taught, followed by an intense learning curve at the New England School of Photography. Her photos have been published in local newspapers, made their way to various New York Dance Company’s websites and could be seen in shows in the USA and Germany.
She tries to capture the light and spirit of places in a warm and welcoming way, creating stories, feelings and dreams. She wants to take her audience to mystical places where they like to linger.
Tristan
... also sees the magic in places and moments. His Irish soul grew up with W.B. Yeats and Emily Dickinson. He finds words, wonderful words, when he is relaxing or traveling, alone or sad, or just touched by something. Tristan's dreamy poetry is a perfect complement for Silke's photography.
