Inez Ibis Flies Again
The Story of a Courageous Ibis Who Never Gave up.
de Carol Allen Anfinsen, Written and Illustrated
Acerca del libro
It happened in a flash. Inez was walking along, feeding with the other ibis, and the next thing she knew it was swoosh, wham, bam. She felt pain. She saw stars, and then the lights went out.
From that day forward, Inez dragged a painful right leg behind her and hopped about on her good leg. How she overcame pain and self doubt, how she learned to fly again is a story of courage and hope.

Many people influenced my life, but especially my grandfather. He was not only a school teacher, he was my school teacher. Through his eyes, and through his remarkable gift for teaching the subjects he loved, I developed a keen appreciation for nature. It was not unusual for grandpa to gather his students around him to show us firsthand what it felt like to touch the hairy legs of his pet tarantula, or to observe a leggy garden spider inch its way over his hand and up his arm as the sunlight sparkled on its shiny patterned back. His lack of fear made us eager and unafraid to explore the world around us. This backdrop influenced my career as a writer and artist through corporate training and childrens educational materials, scripts, and stories.
