Acerca del libro
From May 18 to June 12 2009, 4 Wing Cold Lake in eastern Alberta, Canada, played host to Maple Flag 42 (MF 42), an international joint training exercise, bringing an influx of over 4,500 personnel to Canada’s largest and busiest fighter wing.
The Cold Lake Air Weapons Range (CLAWR) is a staggering 1.17 million hectares of almost unrestricted airspace. It features multiple ACM areas allowing coalition forces the ability to perform multiple air combat operations, managed by the ACMI system to track participants. On the ground over 640 targets, ranging from mock airfields to industrial complexes, make up almost 100 target complexes to realistically simulate war zones.
Despite increases in overseas operations, MF 42 still attracted participation from Canada, Germany, NATO, New Zealand, Singapore, UK and USA.
This book is a pictorial review of those participants.
Includes a foreword by Major Carl 'Sleepy' Cottrell, Officer Commanding AFTTC.
