Acerca del autor

Martin-Jan van Santen
boek1 Kampen, Holland
Martin-Jan van Santen (1968) was born in a creative family: His father was a vicar in the local church. His two brothers made music and turned out to be professional musicians. Martin-Jan discovered his passion for painting only a few years ago. Since 2007, he calls himself an artist. He lives in Kampen, Holland. On his website we will keep you informed about new exhibitions. His passion to paint male nudes is unmistakable. With great enthusiasm and love for the subject, his paintings grow bigger every day. Not as much as his nudes, but with the same exuberance he paints cityscapes, mostly done in the environment of Kampen. Portraits is a totally different kind of sport: In his portraits the main goal is to capture the specific characteristics of a person, wich lies hidden in their face or body. Portraits can be done, based on photo's or by a posing model. If you are interested in his work or have questions of any kind, please contact the artist.
