Nicole Lisitza is an aspiring author eager to share her story of her mother with the world. She grew up in Port au-Prince, Haiti, and she later came to the United States in 1969. She attended St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York, and later, she traveled to Texas with her husband, where she received her baccalaureate in Nursing from the University of Texas in Arlington. Years later, now that her children are all grown up and gone, she has many stories to tell of her family, her life as an immigrant to the United States, and a unique perspective on what family means to her, inspired by her mother.
